Well I decided that it would be nice to have the dome light to also work as a courtesy light when you open the cab door. I wired in a small magnetic reed type switch to the dome light, so now when the left door is opened the dome light will come on. Works really well getting in and out of the cab in the dark. I soldered the switch wires onto the dome light itself after the factory switch, this allows the dome light switch to operate normal for manually turning it on and off, as of now the light is on anytime the door is open so if I find later that I need the light off which the door open for some reason I'll install a new three position switch in place of the factory single position. The door switch is very small and comes with double sided tape on both pieces and also screw holes on both for mounting with screws, I chose to use the tape and seems to be working well.

Very cool.

Whose switch did you use?

Did you glue the switch on?

I'm filled with questions!

I used the double sided tape that came on the switch halves.

Yep that's it, 10 dollars is what I gave for mine too. I also replaced the bulb with a led. I really like the whiter light.

Nice, CB! You been making so many mods on that new NX, I'm starting to wonder if you've taken her out of the shop and put any hours on her yet!

Maybe Country is like myself where there is no garage to bring the tractor back to once the tractor is out in the field, so he is making hay when he can while it is at his shop.

I'm ashamed to say I still have yet to do ANY thing with it yet. :( it's still inside at my work. I only have a small barn at the new house and have it full with my kubota and a few other things. Plus this way I can leave it torn apart if I'm installing something that takes a few days. Right now I am working out of a large shipping container as a shop for now. I did finally get my new shop built last week but have not been able to pour concrete yet do to the nasty weather we have been having. But at least I will have a covered area to park it now when I bring it home next week hopefully but now racing season has started so we shall see. :)
