Yes everybody's needs and preferences are different.
I bought a used tractor with one hook in the middle of the bucket. I added hooks in line with the loader arms/cylinders. While I was at it I added two shackles also. I constantly use the grab hooks and like Kenny said shackles see little use. Only when I use a sling because I don't want a chain to mar the surface of what I am lifting.
