Went to the dealer today and rode around on the 7610. pretty nifty . says he will match other dealers price of $16100 out the door. fel,bb,phd. what do you think?
also has a b2410 for 1k more. any reason to consider this? I don't see anything in the specs that makes a difference.

Alot of people buy the 24 series, so there must be some things there that people find appealing. But if I'm spending more than the 7610, I'm getting a 7800 (which I'm not because the BX can do anything! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

I was in the same boat checking prices. I started looking at the 7510 but went with the 7610. I could justify spending the extra money on the upgrade for the extra HP but the 2410 only weighs a little over 100 pounds more and it has position control vs. 1/4 inch vavle. The B7610 is considered by Kubota as the standard tractor and the B2410 is the Deluxe tractor. Oh, the B2410 will hold one more gallon of fuel. I just could not justify the price difference for the B2410 vs. the B7610. The B2410 also comes in a 2WD model. It also comes with some kind of reduced turning radius model. And if I were to have spent the extra money I would have went with the B7800 instead. 30 HP vs. 24 HP.

I think the prices you were offered are reasonable. I paid $ 15,700 for my B2410 with FEL only back in December 2000. With sales tax the total cost was 16,600. I use the tractor on 2 acres and have been very pleased with it. If the BX23 was available then I would have bought it instead as I would love to have a backhoe and say in the 16 -17 K price range.

The thing about buying a Kubota is they are great tractors you will probably like any Kubota you choose. I have a B7610 and have been amazed by its power. I have used my box blade on some pretty tough stuff with great results. I think you will find it to be plenty of tractor for your needs.
