Woof! Woof!.... No just kidding, she attended and blessed the trade and it was about $25 more than the present payment so we should still be able to buy beans!:)

I assume that is $25 more per month for an ADDITIONAL 2 years right? (assuming you owe 3 yrs on the bota and now owe for 5 years @ $25 more)

And NO we cannot be friends any-longer. You are now an outcast........

Just kidding:laughing: All I can say is.....at least its still the right color:D

At least it is not green right. Just acknowledge the slight difference in shade of orange the same way we acknowledge Canadians as almost the same.

$25 x 24 months is only $600 ... Pretty cheap to get the tractor you really want

Just don't come over to the "other orange forum" ragging on Kubotas and maybe, just maybe, we can still be friends you being from Missouri.:)

DISCLAIMER: Due to the evil influences of a Kioti driver, I am now looking at daily posts rather than specific forums or I wouldn't be here.

Well it does not make particulary good economic sense as we have paid on the kubota for 18 months, but we also had a lot of equity in the 'bota, enough to be able to make a trade without much damage to the monthly budget. The key was getting the wife on the DK35se.. she actually liked it.. the rest was all downhill from there.:)
No I am not going to rag on the 'bota's . The DK line is not in the same class as the "economy" line of Kubota's. The CK line would be a lot closer. The interesting part is sale price of the DK is only about 1300 bucks more than we paid for the L3400hst 18 months ago. It is a LOT more tractor. There was not a Kioti dealer within 100 miles of here when I bought the 'bota, and this dealer was a New Holland dealer then. They are still New Holland for the big stuff but Kioti now for their smaller tractors. And I truly hope to keep all my Kubota friends:thumbsup: Oh, I am keeping my spray paint to touch up with too! I am hoping it is not too far off.
The Kioti dealer network is no where near as rich as the Kubota dealer network that is for sure. As for reliability, well I am fixing to find out, but it seems that most kioti guys are not reporting much trouble. Call me back in 2 or 3 years, I will probably know a bunch more:)

Congratulations on the new machine.
I've owned my DK 35 for 10 or 11 years now. It has been very strong and reliable.
Good luck with your new machine.

We'll just have to see about that, but if you move to Arkansas then all bets are off.

I'm sure you will get a lot of good years out of your Kioti; quality wise I think they are all about the same. Someone posted a video on the DK40 or 50 cab I think and it was really impressive.

Yeah I drove a DK35seCAB and it was plush inside, Kinda weird as I had never driven a cab tractor before and a lot of that diesel "cackle" was attenuated, I actually turned on the AC for a minute, and the thing was starting to really "grow" on me, but there was just no way financially.:(

not quite if the deal is as I am thinking.

He said he owes 3 more years on the bota.

IF the new loan is $25 MORE....AND for 5 years, the total cost difference is $25/month for 3 years, PLUS the FULL payment for the last two years.

A lot of assuming here on my part but I am guessing he had a 60 month loan probabally in the

~$300 range??? SO...he owed 3 more years @ 300 = $10,800 till payoff.

IF the new loan is $25 more ($325) for 5 years...Thats $19,500 till payoff. About a 9k difference.

BUT...IF the new loan is only for the 3 years, that would be $25 x 36 = $900 more.

Big difference. Not sure what the deal was he got. Again, just guessing here but I think most likey he is back to a 5 year loan. Becasue with 3 years left to pay on his bota, I doubt he got much more than payoff for trading it in. So little of that would apply to the purchase of the new DK. And for basically getting a new tractor with little down and a payment only $25 more/month, I am betting it was a 5 year loan.

If he was down to only owing ~10k or so on his bota, and got a brand new DK35 for only $600 more TOTAL, I think I would be considering a drive to missouri with my L3400 in tow:D
