not sure what trailer to get. need some help

I just bought a jd 3032. I'm going to be pulling that tractor and loader plus a box blade about 60 miles. Going to make the trip pretty regularly with my f150( currently no brake controller).

Wondering what you all think might be the best trailer type and size.

By the way I think the tractor and loader is about 2500 pounds. Just a guess.

Get an accurate weight and then post the numbers. Do you have loaded tires? There are many variables, but you will need tandem axles and brakes, I would think.

Without loader:
Weight: 2,175 lbs [986 kg]

A good quality 7000lb x 16-18' equipment trailer (not a car hauler) should do the trick. it will have ramps with feet to take the weight of the tractor while you drive on. A 7000lb trailer can haul about 5500lbs. Your tractor with loader will be pushing 3000.

Get a Tekonsha proportional brake controller.

I've got a Quality brand 16' (plus 2' dovetail) 7,000# tandem axle. It weighs 2400 empty. Recessed ramps that pull out from under trailer so that they're not in the way like the flip up type would be if I have an implement on your 3 point.
It also has a pressure treated 2x6 deck. It works just fine for the Kubota B3030 cab with LA 403 loader. Before that I had a JD 790 with 419 loader that it hauled around with no problems.

Just don't under buy in length and capacity if you even think there is a chance of a larger tractor in the future. I'd also say buy longer if than the you need so you can adjust where you your tractor will sit so you can adjust the tongue weight on the truck when needed. Something like a bush hog requires more room than the box blade you are presently going to haul.
