Not just another rock

While I was showing off my rocks a friend of mine in Elkins WV sent me these pictures. I do not know at this time where this rock is located but I had to share it. What a tribute to our men and women as well as our country. I have never seen anything like this before. Enjoy and be sure to thank a vetern. EL.

This rock is in Iowa, Exit 86, I-80 just south about 2 miles. The artist is a young man nick name Bubba. He has a web site that displays his work on the rock. He has been painting a new patriotic scene every year before memorial day for the past several years. Very talented. He has many visitors stop by to watch him paint. With the help of local donations, they have been able to erect a flag pole and night light so visitors can view his work any time of day or night. The rock quarry that owns the land has made a nice pull off area to park.
Since Bubba has been painting these patriotic scenes, there has never been any graffiti on the rock. Locals are proud of the kids for their respect of the rock. Here is Bubba's web site. bubbaz_artwork
