is the nortrac 204 20 hp 4x4 a good value? i have read they are very competent in assembly, but their prices are quite a bit higher than the rest( rural king, homier , etc.) 5999.99 for a 204 seems high but if its put together right thats half the battle. i owned a rural king 254 4x4 for about a week and sent it back. hydr. leaks , electrical problems, no fluids, missing bolts, but i only paid $5400 for it.

That seems high to me, Homier quoted me $6,500 for a 254.

Hey, me too. Except I paid $5600 for mine.

If you check the Northern advertising a little closer, I think you'll find that the $5999 includes delivery. It's been said that you can do MUCH better on the same tractor at a Northern retail outlet.

yea, too bad there isnt a nt retail store within 500 miles of me here in newark ohio. i'm starting to lean toward a crate tractor, so i can be the only one to blame for screwing it up.

yea ive seen that, but i cant get him to send me more pictures of it and some people on here have sort of steered me away from him... too good to be true plus i think its a 2 cyl. vs. 3cyl. from nortrac. it was 4399 a couple of weeks ago and it didnt sell so i wonder?????

Well, first of all you have never asked me to send any additional pics. And I have done business with many of the dealers on this forum and I don't think any of them would steer you away from me. Sounds to me like you just want to post and post. And how do you know I didn't sell it and many others a couple of weeks ago. I even sold a used Hinomoto because of that ad. So what else are you wondering??????????
You need to go to the nearest John Deere dealer and get there 10 year extended warranty!!!!!

Bruce that seems harsh: mrdillion has been asking for assistance here for a while. I think he may be on the fence about spending $ but that does not make him a person that you should not deal with, to me that makes you a dealer I would not recogmend, sorry but sometimes to be in buisness it means word of mouth is worth more than a few bucks of grumpy customer... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There are many dealers who will provide a good price and great service. BOLTON (Graham), Northern,Tommy @ Afortable, many farmpro dealers the list will go on and on. goto John S's web site for an older yet to be updated dealers list, and I think NYCTOA site also has a dealers listing too.

I re-read the posts (thought I may have missed something in there.) I do not see where anyone is flaming you, some people are posting what they feel about price, that does not count as flamming far as I can see. You have a price listed, that is OK as posted, that may be some items included that others do not, I don not know one way or the other, others posted what prices they are seeing locally to them, not locally to mrdillion, or to me in upstate ohio, or in kansas ect. prices change a few hundred either way depending on shipping ect... this si somethign I know all about. I ended up paying more for shipping than I expected for a shipment a long time back, now adays price of fuel makes everything higher depending on how far form point A you are...
