North Star Sprayer Question

/ North Star Sprayer Question #21
Arly I have the Northstar and posted a couple of pictures and I think 30 feet with mine is possible, maybe even a little more. The end of the wand can be turned from a stream to a spray so getting that set just right lets it spray further.

Dave, so you don't use yours with a atv but your little JD. So I'd guess no problem pulling its battery down?

I have a cigarette lighter type plug in for the sprayer I use. I think I had to splice that type of plug end onto the sprayer wiring. I’d rather it was hooked up to battery of the tractor but that’s way up front. With the tractor running I don’t think it would ever run the battery down. The plug end that is on the sprayer end that plugs into the tractor has a small glass style automotive fuse that if I use the spot sprayer wand almost continuously for a few minutes it will pop that fuse. There is also an on/off switch in the sprayer wiring that I can switch when using the broadcast spray.

Why would it blow the fuse for spot spraying?? Spot spraying is all I would do.

I’d say the end I spliced on the spot sprayer wiring isn’t heavy enough. If I hooked it up to the battery I’d be fine. As I recall the sprayer is fused and has never blown.
