North Star 26 gal pump storage

I have had the pump go bad each of the past two winters on this pump. They have been great about replacing the pump but I wanted to see how people store sprayers like this? Is it okay to store outside under a tarp?

I run RV antifreeze into mine. Water can stay behind in it and freeze and ruin the pump.

Did you circulate some RV plumbing antifreeze through it for storage, atleast?

I have a very similar unit.

I flush with water, drain, and store it in my barn. I've had mine for 6 years with no issues.

Yes, I ran antifreeze through and drained it. I live in the PNW where it seldom freezes. I think the problem is all the rain and the pump just doesn’t seem very waterproof. I disassembled the first one and it had a lot of rust and gunk in the coil area.

Ohhhh, mine is stored in dry storage 100% of the time
