Not yet but it is coming to the Socialist State of WA I am sure as we are always close behind CA and OR. This slice of the west coast is **** bent for totalitarianism. Right now their main focus is to establish a $15 minimum wage, (one city already has) and saddle us with another 10 cent raise in the gas tax to continue feeding our failed Dept of Transportation empire. We already have a train system that has cost billions already and subsidizes the few riders to the tune of $35 on a $5 ticket.

Whoops! I really kicked the Hornet's nest. I thinks some States are reconsidering the percentages now. I guess we have to let our needs be known as far as our fuel requirements.

In Indiana by law all gas must contain 10% ethanol and bio in the diesel. The only exception is for off road use or if the fuel is made using Indiana Crude Oil which is less than 1%

Chris

So the stations listed here Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada must be selling fuel made from Indiana crude then or they aren't truly selling non ethanol gasoline I guess.

Several of them are listed as selling COUNTRYMARK brand.

I also found one station about 10 miles out of my way to work here in east central IL. I'm going to try a tank of it just out of curiosity.

Countymark is one of the company's that have non e gas. They own and operate oil wells here in Indiana. It's all political.

Even the marinas around here can not get non e gas as of the last 3 to 5 years.

I see at least 6 marinas on the list at the link provided and several airfields. At least one of them was updated in 2013.

I also looked at Indiana regulations here Alternative Fuels Data Center: Indiana Laws and Incentives for Ethanol
I don't see any reference to laws restricting the sale of pure gasoline, just a lot of incentives to sell ethanol.

I'm just making observations here and I'm actually anti-ethanol and hate the subsidies and incentives with tax payer dollars.

Do you have a link to laws or legislation restricting the sale of gasoline without ethanol in Indiana?

I do not. Only going off what is told to me by a higher up at County Mark and my fuel delivery guy. I have a 300 gallon tank and can't get real diesel or gas from anyone.

As far as the Marinas go I boat every weekend from April to November and have not seen real gas in 4 or 5 years.

I can tell you the list is wrong. Two of the marinas listed as having pure gas have not for a number of years. I frequent each a few times a month or more.

It is easy to test for ethanol in gas, to be sure of what you are getting
just add gas to a measured amount of water in a clear glass bottle
if the water level increases,, then you have ethanol in the gas
the water absorbs ethanol

I buy the premixed gasoline [ 50.1] in red containers at the hardware store for my weedwacker,
it is suppose to be ethanol free.

That's good stuff and has a long shelf life. I recommend it to anyone who uses their 2-strokes only occasionally. You
can find it also at autoparts stores and HomeDepot. About $5/quart, though. Ouch.

The station I'm looking at going to calls their 90 octane straight gasoline, "recreational" and charges at least 50 cents more for it than 87 E10. I'm still going to try a tank of it to compare mileage and I might buy a couple 5 gallon cans of it for my mower.

It sounds like it would be quite easy to remove/drain the ethanol from fuel. Is that right? Is anyone on here doing that?

I did that for a gallon, just for my chainsaws. I used the highest octane gas I could find (91) so that removing
the ethanol did not lower the octane rating too much. If I have to do a bunch of cutting, it will be too tedious
to do very often. I have several saws that I do not use very often.
