Do a couple things to assure your mind.
1. Check HST fluid level? Already have, no doubt.
2. Pull the HST screen and clean it. If you use a cork or rubber plug, you won't hardly lose enough to speak of. Top off the few ounces you might lose.
3. Park the tractor, after a solid use, on a clean dry spot on cement, in your garage or shop. A place that is very clean. Or, park it on clean, dry cardboard laid out on the floor. Look for ANY spots of fluid after 24 hours.
The reason I mention this last item is that if there is a loose fitting somewhere, anywhere, the leak drip will show up eventually. Mine came with a loose hydraulic line fitting. Once I found that loose fitting and tightened it, my HST was noticeably quieter. If a fitting sucks a little air, the noise is quite bad.
In any case, these HSTs are not quiet by any means. Best Wishes
