No start

I have a LT1024 that all of a sudden does not start. Was getting it ready for the mowing season, and when I turned the key...nothing. Not even a click. No power to the solenoid, the lights work, battery & oil pressure lights come on in the dash. What would be the next thing to chek? Is there a way to by pass the brake pedal safety switch? Just to check to see if it's bad.

check pto to make sure it's off. Pulled mine out once thinking it was the
choke. I'm gray but sometimes act blonde.
