About 18 months ago I bought an Allis B and a C model, hoping to put the two together and make one B model out of them. The "C" had been sitting in the open for about five years, albeit the engine was covered with hood. It was pretty much complete. The "B" had been left in the open w/o head or hood, under bushes, totally exposed to the elements for probably 20 years. I combined the block from the C and the head from the B since it had been rebuilt some years earlier. The head had not been exposed to weather. Okay, I got everything put back together but I do not have lubrication to the rocker panel. My oil pump is good, I know that for sure. I'm getting oil to the filter, which is full, but cannot get oil upstairs using the crank. Am I expecting too much from the hand crank or do I need to spin this with the starter. I don't have electrics hooked up yet and don't know for sure that the starter motors are good. Also I am not seeing pressure registered on the oil gauge. Gauge may be no good and will check this out as I get further into the process. Anyone out there that can tell me how oil gets to the rocker arms? Push rods are solid with no hole running through center. I'm really over my head here. Thanks in advance.

apply some assembly grease to the cam bearings like you would on a fresh rebuild then it will not hurt it to turn it over if it doesn't get oil for a minute

With no knowledge of the engines, my guess would be that there is an oil galley that is plugged with the head gasket. ??
I have known of some older V-8 Mopars that the rear cam bearing has to be timed to the oil galleys.
Did the cam bearings get changed?

Thanks to all who have answered my post. Once again the good advise gotten on this site has pulled me out of the fire. Will carry on, make a couple changes, and hopefully get this little girl back in the field.
