No Deere in my yard

My neighbor has two small JD riding mowers. I have two small Craftsmans. We get along good, but he's always on me to buy a JD and scrap my two old junks. Yesterday he was in his front yard with the hood up again. This time with a bad starter. $400 for a rebuilt one at the JD dealer. As i drove by on one of my old junks I hollered " Both my junks did'nt cost that much!!" and just kept on mowing.

Thats why you'll never see a Deere in my yard.

I suspect that he could have gotten his bad starter repaired or replaced for a fraction of that at any decent auto electric shop--or small engine shop for that matter.
