It is late spring here in the desert, everything is blooming and there are NO bees. I have not seen a single bee this season. Usually anytime you walk near a creosote bush all you hear is a constant buzzing sound. They are usually all over my fruit trees.

We had a very wet winter season and the desert is the greenest I have seen in the 20 years I have been here. I do not know if the wet year caused the problem as desert bees nest underground.

Maybe time to start hobby bee keeping?
Two colonies?
It is relatively easy, fun, and costs can even be recouped by selling excess honey.
