Help my toy is broke. I have a 1510D. This weekend I got on her to do some light work. I went to put it in 4WD and the lever just flopped over like it was hooked to nothing. The book I have is for the 186 and not very clear. Can some one tell me what to do first and the probable cause?

The roll pins in the shift lever are probably broken, one is 6mx25m and the other is 3.5mx25m.

Can this be changed without splitting the tractor ? It looks like it might come out by removeing the 4WD shift lever shaft out the left side.

Thanks

Aaron,

Same thing happend to the JD850 PTO lever that we had. Took it apart, welded it up, put it back together. Held for the 8 or so more years we had it.

Waco:
If that is it; find a decent welder and weld it. That weld will be stronger than the rest of the part.
