I thought I might post a follow up to this thread since I've had the TN70DA for a while now. It has been a good tractor, and I'm happy with my choice. There have been a couple of issues addressed and fixed since it was delivered. The fuel level sender had to be replaced. We knew it was bad before the tractor was delivered, and the dealer arranged for the tractor to be picked up and the sender replaced, so no big deal there. In the mean time, I noticed the read wiper/washer had leaked at some time, and the dealer asked me to check the headliner for stains (there was a stain, so the leak must have been above the headliner). They fixed the leak and replaced the headliner at the same time they fixed the fuel level sender. So, great service all around.
I've hit the 50 hours break in period, so I'm having it serviced by the dealership again. In addition to the service I'm asking them to check the fuel system because I get a little hesitation at 1250 rpm and above. Just momentary dips in the rpm of 50 to 100 rpm. I'm hoping this is just due to poor quality, old fuel I've been using. I have reason to believe it might be, although I'm not sure.
The only other thing that has me stumped right now is how to get the front end loader off. I've tried a few times, followed the instructions, but it refuses to lift off. It is almost like the pins (where the loader should lift off from) are jammed. I can't see how, though. I'll try again after the service.

All in all a great tractor, love the cab and the 4WD. I've used it mainly for loader work, running a box blade, and bush hogging, and driving the kids around of course.

The tractor was delivered Friday evening, all set By the way, does anyone know why the manual tells me to idle the engine at 1000 rpm for three minutes prior to shutdown? I think it has something to do with the turbo, but I don't understand it.

Generally speaking, the oil supply to the turbo is supplied by the engine so you want the turbo running pretty slow before you shut it down and cut off the oil. Chopping the fuel off would stop the engine and let the turbo freewheel at very high speeds without an oil supply, causing the bearings to fail. Some diesels have add on systems of oil accumulators that supply oil in the event of a shut sown to preclude this problem. I doubt if tractors have them though.

I know my 7610s warns of a warm up period for the hyds, and an idle down period so the turbo can cool and spin down.
