NH TC33D vs. Stump

Hy Spencer:
Just a quick Couple of questions? What brand of forks are those, where did you get them and how much did they cost?
I,m still awaiting delivery of our new TC29, so thought I might get our dealer to order a set of those forks also.

Those forks are manufactured by Construction Attachments Limited (CAL). I bought them right from my tractor dealer for $750. They are made to hook up to a "QuickTach" adapter like you would find on a skid steer. I bought my tractor with the QuickTach adapter and a QuickTach bucket. The QuickTach adapter (Unihitch) was made by Kasco and cost me another $400. I can switch between the HD Bucket and the Forks in about 90 seconds. If you think you want a system like this then do it right from the start because the bucket needs to have the QuickTach plates welded on to it instead of the 4 pin setup. My 60" HD bucket is an actual NH bucket made for the TC35,40,45 series and cost me $50 more than the TC33 standard duty bucket. I lost about 5 degrees of rollback switching to this bucket.

Hey Spencer, can you get dynamite where you live? About a pound of explosives under a stump that size and you can pull it out with a Snapper lawn mower! Unfortunately, I haven't had occasion to blow any stumps since I was in the Army, and that was so long ago that we used mules (or Second Lieutenants, which were interchangeable with mules) for such work!
