Looking
I have been reading TBN for about a year trying to educate myself on what to look for in a tractor and if the asking price is a good one or not. I think I found a good one but I am unable to pull the trigger without some profound advise from the TBN members.

What I have found is an L3600 with 250 hrs; Woods 165 FEL; cab w/heat; AC; radio. The tranny is not HST I think it is GST. One odd thing is how the FEL is hooked up. The hoses are run off the rear remotes and the loader is operated from the control levers at the base of the seat. The asking price is $15k. The tractor looks like new with no dings or dents.

What do you think of the price?

What do you think of the 165 loader and the setup?

How much would it cost to convert the loader to a joystick configuration?

Should I be running away from it or to the bank?

Thank you in advance of all replies.... Dave

Dave, I don't have answers for your questions, but I know a farmer with big air-conditioned John Deere tractors that have loaders with the same kind of hookup; i.e., hoses running to the rear remotes and operated by the levers like you mentioned. He's had that kind of setup so long, he told me once that he just didn't think he'd like the joystick arrangement. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
