For about the same money as you are about to spend on a Husky, you can get yourself a nice used JD 4x5 or 3x5. These are super garden tractors, driveshafts for both main drive and for mower deck. I've seen good used ones go for $2500 - $4500. You can get many implements for them too, and some offer rear pto options, hydraulic lift/controls, and CAT0 3ph. These are heavy, wide machines that are safe and a pleasure to operate.
I have a 425 with all-wheel-steering. Man is that a grass-cutting machine! And it is also an awesome snow plow when equipped with chains. I've had mine going on 14 years, and I've only had to change fluids and put gas in it. With the only belt being between the 3 blades on the deck, I'm still on the original belt. You won't even have to think about; just start her up and cut.
