RK55HC Turf Tires, John Deere 870 & 455 w/ 60" deck, Snapper 48" walk behind mower
New RK55HC coming in 2-3 weeks 😊. It痴 not the normal setup. I went with Hydro, Cab, Turf Tires (no loader). Going to use it to pull my 15 batwing finish mower, plow snow with a rear blade & do some driveway maintenance. Been shopping, testing, comparing for about 3 months. Finally pulled the trigger on the hydro, hopefully it was the right choice.

You're the first I've seen to get turf tires on your RK55HC. I'll be interested to know how the traction is come winter. Tire chains maybe...?
Welcome!

Thanks for all the welcome post,

I wrestled with the tire issue for a while, wasn't sure which way to go. The tread pattern is not what is shown in their tractor flyer. There was no tire to be found that I could go look at, but I had them take pictures and measurements. The tread seemed aggressive enough for our light snow here in southern Ohio. I'll just be plowing with a rear blade (no large snowplow). 96.5% of the time will be spent mowing (lawn, not field), so I figured I had better cater to that. The Industrial Tire tread seemed it might be a little harsh on the lawn.

PS- My wonderful wife said I already have a loader on the John Deere so I shouldn't need another one. (she was correct of course) 😊 They tell me the loader valve is included even if I don't get the loader. I hope they're correct about that because I need it for the mower deck float control.

How much less is it without the loader? If you don’t mind me asking.

$3,400 for the loader option. I'm supposed to still be getting the joystick and loader valve (it's standard in cab tractors). I figured if I regret not having the loader then I can always buy one in a year or so and bolt it on myself.
