Newbie Question - 1900 Model

I'm moving to a 4 acre place that'll need finish cutting, and over time I'll need to rent some standard attachments (tiller, post auger, box blade, etc.), There's a 1900 with 215 hours advertized near me for $2750.
Can anyone give any advice on the deal and/or info on a 1900? They don't seem to be very common.

The hours are probably 1215. Those tractors have a 3 digit hour meter and there is a very good chance that the meter has rolled over. You are right in that the 1900 is not a very common model. Try a YM1700 or YM2000.

To be fair I should add that it is always possible that it could have 215 hours. I have seen a YM1510 with 12 hours and a YM1700 with 126 hours. You know when you are looking at a low hour tractor and when you are looking at one that the hour meter has rolled over. The 1510 still had paper tags with cotton strings tied on different parts of the engine. I don't know how that tractor from the early 80's stayed unused that long, but it did. I saw it with my own eyes. The only problem was a scratch on one of the fenders that happened in the shipping container.
