Welcome from further west. I need to change my location as have moved to Port Orchard. My go to dealer is Jennings Equip in Puyallup (Kubota). They may be the closest to you for Orange. Dealer location is a variable depending on how often you need to go there. I order parts and they mail or FedEx them as they are 40 M from me. They have a large busy shop. Will you have your own trailer? All shops deliver and pickup, but charge. How much of your own work can/will do? That is a big factor also. My BX has not been to a dealer , now 1500 HRs, except for a major casualty covered by KTAC insurance. Mainly, no major problems. If you do your own work get the workshop manual for what ever you get into the package ($100). It has saved me hundreds $.

Closest orange for me is in Everett, and I will be checking them out. I am in a pretty good location for dealers... there's green, orange, and blue within 30 minutes of me (although closer to an hour for New Holland blue). I don't currently have a trailer big enough to haul a subcompact... I have a 6.5x12 Aluma flatbed with a 3500 lb axle but no brakes, so 2990 lb rating, empty weight is 600 lbs, leaving almost 2400 lbs cargo capacity. Not quite enough even for a subcompact. I do my own routine maintenance, but would be looking to the dealer for any major repairs. Good suggestion on the shop manual!

Depending on the repair; most shops want the FEL and BH removed before delivery to the shop. Increases their shop space and they charge extra if they have to remove them. So, a SCUT at <> 3000# can be moved on a fairly small trailer, especially short runs. U-Haul rental cheaper than dealer charge probably.

I have a 16' equip trailer but I move mine for various reasons other than shop delivery.

Second thought, if you are a decent wrench turner and have basic mechanic tools and equip you might be able to do more than you think now.

Good to know! All of the tractors I'm looking at are under 2000# bare, so that might actually work on my Aluma. I would probably want to support the rear of the trailer with jackstands while loading/unloading though. I do have a pretty good collection of tools and have done things like replace axle shafts and transfer cases in jeeps, installed suspension lift kits, etc, so I'm probably good for most smaller stuff.

He has fantastic videos and was a maintenance pro, which make his video even more exceptional.....not your average youtuber. I'm far to the south of you and bought my MT125 because it gave the most bang for the buck....having nothing to do with the color. I'm a construction pro and have rally beaten my little machine up. Yeah, I'll probably pay for it later, but it's saved me AND made me money. I purchased mine in Oregon, and trailored it across the river. You can figure out why since I didn't have to license it. Saved some $ there. There are a couple dealers in Oregon, two that I'd recommend. One is in Astoria and the other in Salem.
