Hey good find! Looks like an EZT. Lots of them are the earlier IZT's. Too bad it's not the left. For what ever reason, the lefts go first. There's gotta be a way you can gut the internals and swap them to a left trans case I'd think.

Given that they sell for $700 new, there'd be a good business in rebuilding them. I think that Cub sells the internal parts individually. There are certainly a lot of dead ones to be had.

Exactly. I've not heard of one failing catastrophically, plus there is a thread floating around where a fella took his apart, found a shaft clearance issue where he added a shim (washer) and it resolved the issue. I know if I was a shop owner that had a slow period, I'd be figuring out how to rebuild them and sell/install them as such. AFAIK, retail on a new EZT is $900.
