new yanmar owner.

Hi, We (my dad and I ) bought a yanmar diesel at an auction. We don't know what model it is. The tag on the tranny says it's 16hp. But the engine is a 2TR13A. The book that came with it is a manuel for a 165D? How can I tell what it really is?

That engine is found in the YM155 (YM155D if it is 4WD). The 155 was manufactured for the US market. I think the same engine is found in the YM1300, a gray market machine. The info I have seen rates the engine at 15 HP.

I to have a ym165d,it's 16 hp four wheel drive yanmar built around 1982 to 1985.This is an export modle made in Japan for export to the US market.They are very good tractors worth about $ 4000 dollars in good shape. I love mine,I have a directional snow plow all hyd. You can get parts, and manuals from a yanmar dealer,or from aftermarket dealers on this sight

The 165 is a nice little Yanmar. I have the 169D. I am wondering, does yours have a roll bar? happy tractoring.
