Picked up a new xr4155 a few weeks ago. Already put 22hrs on it and happy so far. Mostly using it for bush hogging, land clearing and going to do all the grade on my house building project. IMG_3743.JPG

That's a nice looking tractor!
I was headed for either an XR4145 or a Branson 4520R for my house building project before I found a good deal on my MF 1455.
My MF gets the job done, but I really liked the LS tractor that I drove!! :)

Nice!! I am guessing you have a gear? Your going to really like how that tractor handles a BB (box blade). Did you by chance get a BB with a tailgate? I lucked into a heavy 6' BB with a tailgate at a farm auction. It cuts really well.

You may already know all this but I have learned to use my draft control with the BB. Using the draft control helps keep from digging too deep and stopping the tractor, especially with the rippers down.

Good luck and keep us posted on how you like it!!

Yeah got the gear tractor wasn't too confident in a 55hp hydro. Way I see it just something else to go wrong. I don't have a tailgate but I think this will work. I plan to do all of my final grade with it as well. I'll have to try the draft. I just played a little with it today and didn't use draft. Leveled all the concrete truck ruts out with a breeze.

I hear you on the hydro. I have been around tractors my whole life and a gear guy but but found I needed to do a ton of back and forth fel/bb work plus I need to go super slow at times so I went with a hydro this time. From the research on here and other sites it looks like you will eventually have to break a tractor in half and replace a clutch on the other hand there are a bunch of the old hydro's are still running around and doing great.

I did have a chance to use my previous shuttle shift tractor again on a clean up job. I felt at home on it but was wishing for my hydro. Lots of clutch slipping to go slow enough and be accurate up near houses.

Keep us posted!

Nice tractor and a very nice trailer. Is that yours or was it borrowed?
