Also, this thing logs hours, and when I checked it said 235 hours!! Then I realized (I'm pretty sure anyway) that is just "on" time and you can scroll through the different processes and it gives a different time which I'm pretty sure is "arc" time which was only 2-4 minutes for each process. So I saved $400 for those few minutes of use... I'm satisfied.

I did about the same as you when I bought my 211. I didn't have a bottle yet so I used FC. All I can say is you want go back once you use shielding gas unless you have to. Much cleaner, less spatter and for me, a much better weld. Still learning though, there's always more to learn!
