Hi

I am a new tractor owner. This forum, from the number of people online, looks fairly active. I might have lots of questions...;-)

My latest acquisition (project) is a 1965 International B414 diesel. I found it in a field and the guy sold it for the price of scrap. :) Since, I have put a few dollars into it but it has been enjoyable. I hope to move some dirt (it came with a trip bucket loader frame but some parts are missing) and fix my lawn (mostly weeds and very "bumpy" ....it is an abs workout to stay in the lawn tractor seat....;-)

I will post up some photos in one of the other forums once I poke around a little. It was the very informative box blade thread that lead me to this site.

I have owned a couple of back hoes, a skid steer, have built a CAD821 back hoe and enjoy everything mechanical. I also do woodworking and have an electronics (nerd) background, although left that field 22 years ago. I still dabble with solder.

Thanks to all for the answers that I am sure I will receive.

As it was when I rescued it from the crusher

Welcome. Good for you for saving the 414 from the scapheap.

Seems to be alot of Canucks with tractors, frozen ground and not enough snow to keep them on their tractors and off the computer!

Yep. It was built in 2008. These were taken fresh out of the shop. The bucket is about 18" wide. I also made a 10" bucket for trenching. I have added an electric fuel pump (Aircraft spruce) and voltmeter. Have an hour meter but yet to install. Wish I would have installed it first, just to know how much time I have spent in the seat. Thanks for asking. It was a fun project. I had the build thread over on machinebuilders.net but it was lost when they switched over to the new site.

I like it when older tractors are given a new Lease on life. Great job!!

I guess if I was to post photos or comments/questions on the B414, I should do it over the Case-IH forum? I mean, since this is the new members area?

Thanks
