Hello to all,
I live in CT and recently purchased a 1981 Ford 1700 with a 770 loader from a fellow in town about one mile away from me. He is moving into a smaller home and could not take the tractor. It has 1000 hrs on it and still has all of the original paint and very little rust. I changed all the fluids and replaced some small items. The tractor still has the original dealer stickers when it was bought. I called the same dealer and they were able to look up in their records when it was purchased and by whom. Included with it was a scraper blade that the local dealer said was built like a tank compared to most new blades. I think he said it might be an old Fordham? I have also purchased a Woods BB48X Brush Cutter from a friend that he used just once for a fraction of the cost of a new one. I used it for the first time this weekend for five hrs straight and it ran like a charm. I can't believe how much work I got done in that time. This is one tough little tractor. It also sips fuel since I only used three inches of fuel in those five hours. I am looking for some wheel weights for the rear rims if anyone out there has some for sale.
