Kubota B7610 HSD
Been a "lurker " for a while. Decided you guys were having too much fun not to join. Newbie to to tractors but just last week I took the plunge and last Friday my new B7610 with FEL and Bush Hog was delivered. Had 6 hours on it by Saturday moving brush/logs etc and regrading my 400' steep hardpack driveway after 4 inches of rain. SO far I love it and have had no problems with it. Well that's not quite true. Seems I put an 8" diameter log up between my axle and radiator. All hell broke loose. Terrible squealing noise and some smoke. Almost had a heart attack when I got out of the seat and saw an 8 inch diameter log sticking out from what looked to be my brand new engine. The Wife came home from the dump and was very good about it. In fact I lucked out because all that happened was that the fan cowling got distorted and the tips of the plastic fan blade hit it and only melted a little bit. Also broke the coolant line from the radiator to the drain cock by the engine. Will a little judicial "coaxing" of the cowling and a new piece of hose and some antifreeze and a mere three hours later I was good as new (almost) Needless to say I am a little more careful around the logs.
After reading many other posts on here I think I will definitely get a tooth bar for the bucket and a draw bar for the hitch for chaining logs to move around.
Wouldn't buy anything but a Kubota and so far am real happy.
Got a little sunburn on the first day because I refused to get out of the seat. Too much fun!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

  • 8.4 acres mostly wooded but am clearing a "field " and grading hardpack etc.
By the way thanks to Henro I think I already want a backhoe.
Should have put that on the zero percent finacing as well
Will try to get a few pictures posted ASAP

Welcome to TBN. Sure seems to be a lot of New Hamshire folks here. Congrats on the tractor.

Welcome

My toy is smaller but the "love" is the same. We all feel that our Bota is like an adopted child. Full of love and hardly complains.

Henro is a bad influence on all of us. He just sits there with his ear to ear smile all the time. Makes you want to buy implements or something /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Best wishes on the projects. Regards Bob

Congrats, Maby they could backup and add the backhoe in with the 0 % financing. It may be worth a try. I have one on my tractor and couldn't think of what I would have done with out it. If you do not have a box cutter you may think of getting one. My drive is over 900ft and it sure is nice to have. Have fun playing I mean working. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You know what the worst thing is???

The reality is that in the beginning it is a toy...more than a tool...

Later the tool part takes over...and you get even more work done than when it was a toy...

But the better half does not see that...

She continues to see the toy part...while your endless smile has turned to a normal expression...cause you are now using the tool, not the toy anymore...

So you get no credit for the work you have accomplished, because you are using your "toy" to get it done...

Life can be hard sometimes... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Very lucky, My better half not only encouraged me to get it but easily allowed me to go larger but I opted for the 7610 anyway. So far very happy.
BTW she smiles as much as me when she gets in the seat and "rides around" the property.

Finnski -

Welcome to the 7610 club & TBN! Seeing as you are from NH - I suspect that you'll encounter "a rock or two" - my main concern was getting *enough* tractor to deal with the *unexpected*:

While my FEL bucket got a bit *dinged* working out that second rock - I am really impressed that I had the power to get it out!

You will defintely enjoy your 7610!

Cheers,

Dan

Btw: what's your favorite wheat beer? I'll find "Tuechner" from time to time in the local pubs - haven't met many folks who like 'em!

My wife wasn't home 5 minutes after my recent 7610 purchase before she had climbed aboard and was driving around scooping up piles of hogfuel.

Dan: My dealer did not stock the 352 FEL at all and said they typically put 302 loaders on the 7610. I knew this wasn't exactly true.I did not want to wait the 5 weeks he quoted to get the 352 so went with the 302 loader. I did manage to move a rock slightly smaller than yours but I am sure I would have been even happier with the extra capacity. Anyway I am having a blast and have got almost 10 hours on her grading , digging out for a garage etc.
I can get Paulaner hefeweizen around here and it is very good. Can also recommend Julius Echter if you fnd it. Had some really good ones in Germany but don't remember exact brands (maybe I had too many)
BTW I grew up in central mass. and know what the rocks are like there too.
