IMG_1587.PNGGot a call today from a friend who wanted to sell their Kubota RTV. It's a 2016 with just 32 hours on it. Took about 5 minutes to decide that I was taking it home with me. ..now I'm on the hunt for accessories...has anyone ever put a led light bar on theirs ? Or back up lights ? .. I think my wife will be using this to keep our driveway clear while I'm out plowing other properties during storms and from my short drive in it tonight..lighting can be improved over the factory set up.

I ordered these last year to install on my RTV1140 but haven't got around to doing the install. I recently purchased a RTV500 and this light bar looks like it will fit on the frront cover plate between the headlights perfect and the wire for headlights is within about 8" or less. Now going to install it on the RTV500 and maybe order another one for the RTV1140 which I've owned for 8 years and couldn't give it up so just bought another smaller one for the Grands.

That's the type of light bar I want to get..just wondering how to mount it. I'm not excited about drilling any holes in the roof.

Stopped at the dealer today and ordered a new antenna, as the one on it was broken off. While I was there I ordered the plates that come with the optional factory halogen lights. Once those are in, I will figure out how big of a light bar I can fit up there. Also had the day off today so I spent a good deal of it cleaning it and evicting mice. Found 1 nest under the hood and another one under the seat. No wire damage that I could see anywhere. Also tinted the doors and windshield...because..well.. I know I buy who does that sort of thing..lol. Got to drive it down my road and to the mail box.. about 2/3 mile round trip.. my observance that it rides really well for a little machine, ..it's very loud inside and is slow for all the noise it makes. But I suspect it will be plenty torquey enough to push a plow.

Yes, they are loud. My RTV was louder than my Toolcat. My 900 was about 2000 lbs so I'm sure the 1100 with the cab is noticeably more. The 500 is a nice run-around vehicle but the 900/1100 is much more of a workhorse.

Nice set up. These are great machines but not a lot of accessories out there. I have been thinking about putting a hydraulic plow on my 4 seater, so I'll be interested to hear how it plows. Enjoy...

I like the newer style window on the X model, it actually rolls down. Great find

After getting it all cleaned up, I noticed the passenger door had a pretty good dent / crease in it at the top corner and the drivers door has pretty deep scratches in the same place. Likely due to tree branches and driving it through the woods. I brought them to a friend of mine to get the damage fixed and have them painted. ..Dealer said ROPS gray is only available in rattle cans... I'm not terribly excited about doing them with a spray can... But the Kubota orange is available in quart size cans .... I'm thinking about spraying them orange instead... be really tough to miss a giant orange blob in a snow storm..lol
