I'm HHA from central Ohio, and I have a John Deere 2210 that I bought new some 9 years ago. I had my first problem yesterday, and I hope some one out there can help me.
I started it and I ran it about 3 minutes, and shut it off to move some things that were in my way. Then it would not start, nothing no sound, I made sure it was in neutral still nothing, I put it in gear and hit the key it made a buss, so back to neutral nothing. The battery is full charge, and I cleaned both ends of all the cables. I then assumed that it must be the starter, so I called JD and was told part #AM881361 cost $773.00 if you can find one. I was also told it could be the neutral switch at $22.00. I'm hoping for the switch but I don't know what it looks like, and where it is. Can any body help me ?
