New to the site

I'm located in the Central Valley foot hills of California. I have owned a 1948 Ford 8N for about the last 8 years. Can't justify upgrading because it does what I need to get done. I have these implements: 5 ft rotory mower, 2 bottom plow, 5ft universal scrape, Fresno scoop, post hole digger, middle buster and a seldom used spring tooth.

At 65 years old, she still starts every time and I live with the fact that the hydrolics are a little slow. I look forward to checking out the postings on this site.

I'm HHA from central Ohio, and I have a John Deere 2210 that I bought new some 9 years ago. I had my first problem yesterday, and I hope some one out there can help me.
I started it and I ran it about 3 minutes, and shut it off to move some things that were in my way. Then it would not start, nothing no sound, I made sure it was in neutral still nothing, I put it in gear and hit the key it made a buss, so back to neutral nothing. The battery is full charge, and I cleaned both ends of all the cables. I then assumed that it must be the starter, so I called JD and was told part #AM881361 cost $773.00 if you can find one. I was also told it could be the neutral switch at $22.00. I'm hoping for the switch but I don't know what it looks like, and where it is. Can any body help me ?

Might want to start your own thread sure you will get a lot more responds to your question! Have you checked your grounds and fuses tho?

Welcome!!! Its hard to beat that old iron! I have a 49 farmall m that gets used at least once a week! I don't think there will be very many tractors that are built today that will last along as these old work horses have!

I respect your maintanence and xommitment to keeping the old girl and her service to you. We need more folks doing the same, though I guess the sales folks and dealers wouldn't be happy with our attitude.
