HI I am new to the forum and I am having a problem. After replacing the vacuum actuator it worked great but then the engine started to miss when mowing in higher, wet grass. Any thoughts? Thanks.
The trouble may be unrelated but my motto is to always check the obvious first. Double check all the vacuum hoses anywhere near the actuator you replaced. Ay vacuum leaks will cause a lean condition ad could affect the engine under heavy load. It can cause valve burning if it continues. Also you might check the new actuator to make sure it doesn't leak. If you have a hand vacuum pump, which I've found handy for many things including auto brake bleeding, you can attach it to the actuator and see if it holds the vacuum. Without the pump you can try sucking on an attached hose to see if it's sucking in air. Other than that it could be the usual - plugs, bad gas, fuel problems etc.HI I am new to the forum and I am having a problem.
