Tractor
Kubota B7800
I've just picked up a low hours B7800, and I'll be buying a trailer next. If anyone can help me with length and weight of the B7800 with FEL and BH (probably a Woods BH80-X), so I can spec the trailer, that would be very helpful. I have to trailer the tractor to the Kubota/Woods dealer to get those implements. My truck has a GVWR of 6000, so I don't want to get a bigger trailer than I have to. Thanks, R

Congratulations on your tractor, sorry I can't help with the other stuff.

I have a B7800 and can haul it on my 12' dump trailer if I hang the bucket over the front, that is with a box blade on it. I can get the whole tractor with a rototiller and not hang the bucket off the front on a 16' trailer. A backhoe can stick out the rear between the ramps if the trailer allows. In your case I might just go with the 16' and not worry about it. If your truck only has a #6000 GVWR then you might want to think seriously about a different truck as you will be close or exceeding the max. When I got my first tractor/trailer combo I had to change trucks to be able to do what I wanted too. Just my .02;)

I haul my B7800 on a 16' trailer. Works with the brush hog or loader attached (I haven't tried both at the same time). To give some idea of the towing weights my B7820 with filled tires weighs 2,200#. The brush hog weighs 620#, the loader weighs 600#. My trailer (7,000# GVWR) weighs 1.500#. I don't have a backhoe so I can't comment on the weight of a backhoe. I like the tandem axle 16', 7,000 GVWR, electric brake one axle trailers. Seems like an ideal setup for hauling my tractor. Everyone one seems to like it also. My friends use it more than I do.

I have a 16' Dual axle trailer. I've hauled B7800, L3240 FEL, B3200 FEL F2680, BX2660 FEL MMM on it. So, I agree with whistlepig.

I prefer the middle one because of the width 82" and the ramps allow something to hang out the back if need be. I do this with my 16' trailer with certain implements on. The third choice would not allow this. The first one is narrower and not built as heavy. So then #2 if it were my choice, IMHO.:)

This should be in the transportation forum.
In some states NONE of those trailers may do because some states don't allow towing a feather on a trailer with a GVWR greater than your trucks tow capacity.

I imagine out east there is a little stricter than here in the midwest. I would consult all the appropriate regulations before making a firm decision. In any event you have a great little tractor, I have the same and like it more every day. By all means chain it front and rear when you haul it, an extra 2 minutes can save you from a lot of misery. Get a system down when you haul your tractor and don't deviate from it even it is just a short distance. I have dedicated chains for those tasks and follow my own advice. Electric brakes are a must have, one axle minimum, two is better. Let us know what you get.
