Installed another tarp motor, jacks this time. Nice not having to struggle to hold the drill and it is twice as fast. It won't lift a load, but for sure, it will work empty. Used the same power panel/switch, just used another cable quick connect.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but what would you do if trailer was loaded?
Or do you figger that’ll never happen since it dumps?

Yes, I have yet to unhitch with a load. I am thinking of making an adapter to crank handle (I used this one) and I can crank from the other side. I would just need to pull the bolt that goes through the adapter and jack input shaft on the motor side. The adapter is just 1" pipe with a snout to support the crank and a hole in it to fit the jack shaft drive hole. I can use the same bolt that I pull off the motor gearbox. I probably should do that sooner than later just in case.

I gotta do something with my big GN. I’m sick of cranking it.

Video's of the jacks going up and down, about 40 seconds each and the tarp deployed and returned.

The jacks are using a 1200 watt motor, 60:1 gearbox at 68 rpm.

Tarp is using a 900 watt motor, 60:1 gearbox at 60 rpm.

Exactly!

I went ahead and fixed my manual jack for you:) (1) 1"x6" pipe nipple and (1) 1"x4" bolt, dang, the bolt at ACE (grade 5) was $11.00. Plus 4 junky Milwaukee saw blades to cut the head off. Thanks for jump starting me, I need it for a motor failure, if nothing else.

Hauled a load of chips this week, just barely fit, 16yds with 2x6x16 side boards. I did have my second truck just in case. Cost me $100 for my helper's standby/no haul:D

Replaced the side boards with 2x12x16, 18 yd capacity now.

Nice set up. So you have motor on one side and jjack handle on the other?

Wish I could figure out my Kaufman jacks. Took box between jacks is too small for batteries. Wanna stop by & figure mine out? Its only a 2500 mile drive :)

Yes, I just store the handle in the tool box for emergency use. Removing one drive bolt on the motor side will release it so I can crank from the other side.
