New thread posted not showing up...

I posted a new thread in the attachments forum about 2 hrs. ago and it does not show up in the main index...did I do something wrong ?

It isn't going to show up in the main index. It is gong to show up in the attachment forum. It is there in the attachment forum, so maybe I am not understanding your question.

Thanks Moss, It has shown up in this forum...When I log on every day I don't search every forum. I was under the impression I could just drill down under forums ( under this new system ) and click on Index and then click on " since my last visit " and it would show all new posts since my last visit to all forums. If I am wrong then I have been missing a lot of posts all this time..So are you saying each day we have to go to each separate forum to search for new threads or updates to existing ones ? If so this will be very time consuming and I would suggest a general forum that collects all threads from all forums..but what do I know...LOL

All posts show up under "since my last visit" or "today's posts" ...

I routinely use the "Since My Last Visit" function to see the new posts, but brin said "I posted a new thread . . ." so it wouldn't show up since he's the one who posted it, would it? In other words, it was posted during his visit; not since his last visit.

Or am I misunderstanding something here?

I am 99.9% sure you are 100% correct.

Right, since my last visit will now show a thread if it doesn't have any new posts in it since your last visit.

I think I just figured out what is happening ..you are all right...I am using Firefox for my browser and I leave TBN open all the time in one browser tab and therefore if I don't sign off and disconnect from TBN then I just have one long visit so when I click " since my last visit " no new posts to threads will show up. Does that make sense ?
