After four years of vacillation a wood burning fireplace insert has finally been install in our house.

It's the small Regency model with gold doors and fan. It is very enjoyable and relaxing to again sit and watch flames flicker and dance.

Now to go cut wood. But that's enjoyable too.

Sounds nice Egon. My parents have a small plaque in the house stating "He who cuts his own wood is twice warmed". You should have a toasty winter /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have had mine in for the last couple of years, it has cut in half my heating bills and if Iam really carefull about stoking it the unit will heat the entire 3000 sqft house. I also just changed insultation to r-30.... in floors and ceilings big difference...
