Kubota BX1500/L3240
I just purchased a new Kubota L3240 HST with the LA514 FEL. While the dealer is getting it ready to deliver I had him install a rear light. Is there anything else that anyone might suggest to install on this model before I get it? I have 10 acres and will be landscaping and mowing for the most part. I have a BX1500 and it does great, just needed a FEL and more power to run a rear cutter. Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.

Good Evenin Surewhynot,
Well how big is your checkbook ? :) All kidding aside, you opened yourself up on that one ! ;)

Clearing land, a grapple would be nice, a nice boxblade would make some land clearing a bit easier etc ... the list just keeps growing ! :) Maybe if you could be a bit more specific, we could save you a bit of cash ! ;)

Toothbar? Boxblade? Backhoe? Harley Rake?

Ok I see your point. I purchased a back blade, Post hole digger, pallet forks, dirt bucket, and roto tiller, and cutter when I bought the house, that and an old non operational Ford 8-N. I figured all I might be lacking is a powerful tractor and a FEL. However, as you can well imagine when I read the threads here I find lot's of good ideas and suggestions...along with lot's of room for unhappy wife syndrome:( So I was thinking that some folks may have found that there were some invaluable additions to the tractor that I should consider. The rear work light was one example I jumped on. It is for 10 acres, lots of grass and some dirt moving and rocks for landscaping. Thanks

rear remotes as many as you can get on that model

I'd recommend to get pallet forks for the FEL. Mine are on our FEL 80% of the time & are w/o a doubt our most used attachment. Right after that I'd say get as many rear remotes as the machine can power. Enjoy!

Get the better loader, I believe it is the LA724 loader. The cost is not much more than the base LA514 and the specs are much better.

I would have the dealer install a couple of hooks on the FEL. They probably will not even charge you and they are invaluable additions!

Definitely get the LA724 loader with the Quick Attach Adapter. Better specs on the loader and the QA means easy and quick change out of forks and other "utensils" for the loader. Plus just dropping the bucket makes for better visibility and maneuverability when mowing. A grapple and a toothbar are very useful add-ons.

I'm not sure of your model, does it have a cab? If not I would get a canopy if your doing lots of mowing. Additional front and rear worklights. I don't think you can have enough lights. My rear work lights are not enough, and A few posters have listed how to make them yourself (lightbars).

bucket hooks is a great idea. heck if you ever need them at least they are already there.

See if he will throw in any filters - you will likely need them before you realize it.

Remotes like other have said, I went cheap and figured one set was enough, bad idea.

Does your model come with a brush guard? If not, get it now while it is still in one piece.

Filled rears? don't know if you need it, but if your moving lots of dirt you might. For grass cutting you will likely leave ruts/indentations.
