The wife and I went Sun.and walked out the J.D.lot.H+S EQUIP.About 25 compacts and ag. rigs.75 lawn tractors,ZTR and such.Checking out a 4300 i noticed that the parking brake leaver was gone. And a differant yellow pull nkob on the lower dash.Kinda like the ol riding mower system,step on brake and pull the knob-brake is set.All units had a spec.sheet on em with a full price breakdown.Im sure they had the date of man.too .Why didn't i look at that date?Are these 02 or 01 units?The park brake was the only diff. i could see.The sticker price was about 1400 more than i paid 15 mounths ago!It was a good way to walk off a berry freeze from the D.Q.!

Kerr, you ol' hound you. You better stay away from that deere place. It's easy to get, "gotta have a new one fever"! I got the Massey all back together, she looks pretty good. Plan on stopping by your place the end of the month for labor day. Where's you boy doing basic at? Later.

I have a 2001 4300 and my parking brake is as you specify. (Push the pedal and pull the knob and brake is set.) Had mine ordered from the factory, recieved in April, so had any updates as of that time, like the Hydrostatic pedal upgrade.
