New models gear trans question

I notice on the new L models, the shuttle trans seems to be gone in lieu of an 8F/4R trans, with the shifter on the left side, with forward and reverse directly opposite each other. Does anyone know if there is synchronized shifting between forward and reverse with these trans? I probably wouldnt mind shifting on the left, but not unless it is synched.

It's still listed on the spec table for the Grand Ls - was it offered on the straight Ls before?

Ohh... I didnt even see the Grand L side. The GST is still available on them. Do you know if the gear trans on the regular L is synched forward/reverse?

My 2006 L4400DT is not synchronized. Took some getting used to. Have to completely stop to change directions or shift from low to high.

Yes - I have a L4200GST ('97).

One thing I really like about our MX5100 is the 4 speed shifter is still positioned liked the old tractors while forward and reverse are shuttle shifted on the left side of tractor which is syncronized. Nice setup.
