Hello, I'm ordering a LS XR4140H with the 3004 Backhoe, box blade, grapple, and 3rd function hydraulics tonight. I spent a LOT OF TIME doing research and the members of this site were invaluable. I've never owned a Tractor before so it has been a learning experience. I live in Alaska and we own a lake front Cabin on 15 acres which is 75 miles off grid. It is float plane, or snow machine access only. I'll take the tractor up to the next lake over via boat then drive it 1/4 mile to the cabin where it will dig stumps, groom our trails and haul timber to a sawmill. I'll also get forks and palletize cargo to ship up on the boat so it will be easy logistics from now on, no more having to haul everything in our float plane.

Tworude : Welcome to TBN congrats on your new XR4140H very nice tractor should sevre you well. If i may if your tractor breaks how far to the nearest service center or wil you order parts and have them flown in? stay warm my friend Brrr .

I am mechanically inclined and Manage Aircraft Maintenance for a 121 Airline but if it is a major problem I'll have to fly the dealers Mechanic in. Can't wait to take delivery. We had x-mas tonight since we are flying to the cabin and didn't want to haul presents. My wife bought me a Walther PPS M2!!

Oh, after reading the forum I made sure that I have the service manual, saves me some $, thanks guys.
