MF135 Orchard
Hi Y'all.
I bought a 1969 Massey Ferguson 135 Orchard Model. It came with pallet forks for the 3 point and a back blade. It has about 5000 hours on it. The Perkins diesel starts up perfect and runs like a dream. It leaks hydraulic fluid and oil like a sieve. It's going to need a little bit of TLC. This is the first tractor that I've owned. I'm mostly going to use it to help clear some land and move stuff around for livestock. I do tree work on the side so the tractor will probably be utilized quite a bit for that too. The first two things I'm jonesing for is a grapple rake and a chipper. I have 5 acres that hasn't been touched in years so it's really overgrown. Right now it has 11.2x28 tires. My property is on a slope (average about 20%) and the tractor gets stuck on the flatter parts of it, especially backing up ( I know, it doesn't have any weight on the back, yet). I'd like to switch to 18.4X16.1's which I believe is what the orchard model came with.
When I was looking around at different tractors I utilized this forum quite a bit so I already owe a thanks to everybody. IMG_0451.jpegIMG_0453.jpegIMG_0936.jpg
