I live in Ontario Canada and own a JD STX30 lawn tractor. I am having problems with the starting of this tractor most times I have had to wiggle the battery and it will engage the starter and turn over but it is getting harder to start now. I am hoping someone has a few ideas to help me for correct this problem

Hello & welcome from Iowa.

Sure sounds like a bad connection. Even if a clamp is tight, a post or bolt can be too small to make a good connection. I had to use battery post "covers" (auto parts store) to make a good connection on a Hyundai battery clamp. Take them apart, clean them up, use some corrosion inhibiting electrical grease if necessary. I bet you'll get it fixed.

Welcome toTractorByNet. Check your battery connections. Check with a multimeter while the engine is running to see if the battery is charging.
