Hi, from Westmoreland County Virginia. Just bought a garage kept 2006 New Holland TC26DA the other day with 285 hours on it. Its my first tractor and I spent all day today digging holes in the back yard and then moving them from place to place. Next step is to do the 300 hour service as I have no idea when the last service was done. That should be fun - not! Then I should be able to do some actual work.

:welcome: to TBN John! Sweet new tractor! The 300 hour service should be real easy, pull the oil plug, while the oil drains change the fuel filter out. Check the air filter, sometimes thay can last a bit longer if the tractor wasnt run in really dusty conditions. Once the oil has drained out pull the oil filter off and install a new one. pour in the new oil and you should be good to go. If it were me I would also check the hydraulic fluid level and see how much gear oil you have in your front axle.

It's always fun when you mix grease on hands, motor oil dribbled on shoes and diesel fumes up nose.........Doesn't get any better.....:laughing:

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I actually used it today for real work. We replaced a 20 foot section of large plastic drainage culvert in the neighborhood. Worked fine but I still need practice on using the joystick as I am constantly forgetting which way turns the bucket in which direction.
