Kubota B7800
I've learned a lot already from all of you. I've been reading mostly about safety here, and you may have saved my life already. This B7800 is my first tractor, but I spent countless hours on an IH Cub with my Grandfather as a kid. I can still hear him say "watch your head" as we would pass through the long limbs of the tall white pines on the edge of the meadow. (stops - wipes single tear)...

So, I'm using this little orange monster for about 3 acres of finish mowing around the house, about 7 acres of meadow (that I'll be re-foresting most of) , and collecting fire wood. It seems almost too big for the cutting, and almost too small for the dirt work - so I think I got the perfect sized machine.

I also have a box blade that a friend gave me, and a rear scraper that I found in the woods. Please ad any comments and advice that might help a newbie get the best use from these implements and this tractor.

Thanks.

Welcome fellow Tbner. There are alot of people on here that are very knowledgable and can help with just about anything you can throw at them. So feel free to ask and participate if you have answers for anyone.

Your boxblade will work well for moving dirt and leveling. It will also tear up sod if you are going to be replanting trees. Leveling roads, filling in potholes, and such.
Your rear scraper or back blade will be nice for snow removal and also grading dirt, but the boxblade works a little better.

Well feel free to ask questions and of course post pictures of your projects. People on here go crazy for pictures.

Hi! Welcome aboard.

My first tractor was a 2005 Kubota B7510HST (21 hp engine, 17 hp pto, 4WD) with the LA302 FEL (4-ft wide bucket). It worked fine for chores around my 10 acre spread. I mowed 7 acres of weeds with a 4-ft King Kutter brush hog, did a lot of earth moving with the FEL and a 4-ft wide KK box blade, put in my landscaping using a KK middle buster/subsoiler combo together with a used $300 Yanmar RS1200 rototiller. Botas are nice machines. No complaints.

I learned the same as you except mine was a Ford 8N and my grandfather would yell "don't run thru the fences"
