I've learned a lot already from all of you. I've been reading mostly about safety here, and you may have saved my life already. This B7800 is my first tractor, but I spent countless hours on an IH Cub with my Grandfather as a kid. I can still hear him say "watch your head" as we would pass through the long limbs of the tall white pines on the edge of the meadow. (stops - wipes single tear)...
So, I'm using this little orange monster for about 3 acres of finish mowing around the house, about 7 acres of meadow (that I'll be re-foresting most of) , and collecting fire wood. It seems almost too big for the cutting, and almost too small for the dirt work - so I think I got the perfect sized machine.
I also have a box blade that a friend gave me, and a rear scraper that I found in the woods. Please ad any comments and advice that might help a newbie get the best use from these implements and this tractor.
Thanks.
