New Member - quick question

Hi all,
I Just bought a used 2007 ck30hst with loader, backhoe w/thumb, sunshade, box scraper, and brush hog. Mid & rear PTO, 123 hrs on meter. No obvious damage or abuse. Paid $19,000. How do you think I did on the price? Thanks

Welcome to Tractorbynet. As for price, I don't know much about prices and it might depend on what part of the world you are located in, and your profile doesn't say. But I'll bet the price was just about right; if it had been too low, he wouldn't have sold it to you, and if it was too high, you wouldn't have bought it. So if you're both happy, the price was just right.

You set the market value That's a lot of tractor and the price sounds pretty good but that's not the whole story... does it look new? was it a rental unit? With 123 hours, sounds like you got a brand new machine for that price.

Thanks guys. I was just looking for some reassurance that I got a fair deal. As you can tell I'm new to this game. All I've ever owned is an old Oliver track loader that I still have but its just not nimble and reliable enough for some of the other things I want to do.
This was a unit that was bought new and used by the owner on a little peice of property to clear brush, move logs, and dig utility trenchs. Not garaged but at least covered by a blue tarp when not in use. To me it looks like a new tractor.
I live in the PacNW Puget Sound area. I didn't have much to go on as far determining fair price because its hard to find used units of comparable model, year, features, etc. When I saw this tractor I just knew i had to have it and I managed to talk him down from 20,500 and didn't want to push my luck any further. I would be happy in any case because I know its going to be a terrific unit.

There are no stupid questions, and while there can be stupid answers, you won't find many of those on Tractorbynet.

Sounds like a fair enough deal. Whats a new one with all that cost?

If you can buy a new one equiped like that for 2-3 thousand more,might not be that gooda deal.

My 6 months old ck30,gear without loader was about 13,000 all told.[course I didn't dicker any],but hst is what,another 2 grand?,loader is what 2 grand or more?Backhoe,3 grand or more?

Right there alone is about 20,000 or more.Box blade and hog another 2 grand or more,[if bought new].

So its sounding like you got a pretty fair deal.Maybe not the deal of the century,but don't think you over paid.

I was quoted in the $25K range for new CK30 w/loader w/BH 1.5 years ago.

I'll be a bit of a wise-guy and say it's kind of late to be asking if you got a good deal after you have bought my good man! I think you did just for the record though

You're right jimmyj. Its a little late now to be asking but I felt I had to jump on the deal while I could. I was just curious is all. Thanks to you guys I will sleep a little better tonight than I did last night.
