Bobcat 763
Just picked up a Bobcat 763 to fix up the yard.

Where do I go to find out what fluids to use?

Maintenance ... etc.

If your 763 is 1999 or new (serial #512250001 or above), there is compartment behind the seat built into to ROPS for holding the Operator's manual. Look there, it may still be in there. A lot of owners didn't know it was there because it is hidden by the seat.
If no Op manual, you can purchase it in CD form or paper from Bobcat dealer. The CD is less expansive. Someone on Ebay usually has manuals for sale as well.

Engine oil is 10-30W GC or better (change interval @ 250 hrs.) Hydaulic fluid calls for Bobcat Hydrostatic/hydraulic fluid (change interval - filters 500 hrs. & fluid 1000 hrs). I'm sure you will get other posts here about other fluids to use. If you do not use the Bobcat fluid, use only ISO 46AW and be prepared for some additional Hydrostatic whine out of pumps & motors.

Thank you !

Box is empty.

Ordered a maintenance manual on ebay for $10 delivered.

found ISO 32AW Hydaulic fluid for $38 for 5 gallons.

Will the maintenance manual show things like where to grease and add any lubricants?

Hello, I have moved your post to the Oil, Fuel, & Lubricants Forum. You will have better luck finding assistance there. ;)

The grease joints should be easy to find. The 763 has 2 on each hydraulic cylinder and 4 on the arms. When greasing, keep the loader arms down and remove the bucket so you can tilt the QA plate out and grease the lower cylinder zerk and the two that are for the QA plate where it attaches to the loader arms. These zerks are about 4" in from the actual pins and are not visible without the bucket off and the QA plate tilted out. There is a hole drilled on the back where the lower cylinder conjoins the loader mounts, you will see a zerk in there which is at an angle so it is a bit challenging to get to at first. The zerks at the end of the cylinder are right under the arm where the cylinder pin is, easy to get to. For the upper pin for the arms you will find the zerk set a bit inside the end of the arm which is one of the easiest ones to grease. Last but not least in the top of the tilt cylinder zerk which you go over every time that you enter / exit the cab. Don't over grease this zerk since you will either accidentally put your hand there when entering or the area will collect dirt and debris and make a mess. That should be them all.

as a former tech at a very large bobcat dealer, i cant honestly say you'd better stick with bobcat hydro/hydraulic fluid. just about anything else will make it whine. that was one thing we never, and would never, substitute for a "generic" lube. we had multiple bulk aw32 tanks, and aw46 tanks, but none of it ever went in the bobcats. id lean towards a 15-40 before i went 10-30 in a kubota diesel
