Hi all. I recently purchased a 1951 Ferguson TO-20 that I thought was in real good shape. Right now it appears to be running rich and the timing is probably off (so I've been told) as the manifold becomes real hot (glowing birght reddish/white). I'm bringing it in but hope it doesn't need a major overhaul. If it does, will have to sell in the spring. I honestly cannot believe what SCUT's cost and that is why I took a risk with an old tractor. If I do have to sell, Yanmar appears to be the most reasonable if I were to go with new. JD/New Holland/Kubota etc all make great stuff, but the cost is crazy! Am I being unrealistic?
I know there is supposed to be no such thing as a dumb question, but I'm sure I'll ask one or more...you have been warned haha I really am impress with all the information that is on this site!
